I think his bouldering style is raw as f&*k, just go watch him here www.momentumvm.com, and prepare to see the baddest style ever. Its probably cuz he sleeps up side down.

Wow thanks for wasting my time, that was the worst video I've ever seen. The narrators voice is horrible. At least I saw the kehl vid first, now I know not to bother with the rest of the mag.

Well I lied and was again very dissapointed, I watched the wright video in the creek, what a lame vid. Runout on sketch gear? Didn't look that runout to me, maybe at the top where he could have easily thrown something in, but sketchy gear???? on a pink point??? WHY????????????????????

The cedar wright video is one of the weaker videos on there. I liked the Kehl video if you just mute the unnecessary attempt at humor by the narrator. Anytime you can see someone sending Black Lung or other Joe's Valley problems it makes me want to go out and boulder. The video of Ethan Pringle doing Haroun and the Sea of Stories at the Buttermilks is pretty cool in my opinion.

I'm not a boulderer but I always seem to notice that weirdo. Is he an attention seeker or something? The hairdo, the picture of himself half cut away in Rock and Ice a few months ago... weird

He said he's never going to Bishop again after some locals harassed him for looking the way he does. Not sure what his point is. The whole spawn of satan thing seems to be working out pretty well as far as getting sick strong goes.

i doubt jason kehl sleeps upside down...believe it or not he's a pretty normal, down to earth guy. He's been climbing at my local gym for the past 2 or so weeks helping set problems, and if you'd never watched any climbing vids, you wouldn't know he's famoso...until you watched him crank some v##'s like most ppl pull V#'s

Sick? It's funny you should mention it. Whenever I see him (in a video or something, he hasn't come by the house), the name Pukie Smurf always comes to mind. So, maybe he is so sick because he is Pukie Smurf!

Good climber or not, his little photo blurb each month in Climbing magazine is the biggest waste of space I've ever seen. He seems like the freak in school that will do anything for attention, I'm not impressed.

Except that, since he's a sponsored climber, it's his job to get attention. Personally, I far prefer him getting attention with his photography and overall strange persona than I would him getting attention by, say, climbing things that everyone else knows are off limits and then filming and promoting the shit out of it.

I talked to him briefly in squamish last summer and he seemed pretty chill. Didn't actually know it was him until I was told. Everyone needs to stop hatin. Either way he is sick strong.

Mutant strong, who seems to have been trained to ignore both fear and pain. Don't judge a book by the cover. He is comfortable being himself and I think it is far better than being what everyone thinks he should be. Selling out? If he did, at least he did it on his terms. So smooth and controlled to watch.

I would definitely not call him a "self-promoter". What you have to realize is that companies, magazines and video people promote Jason because he has a unique style, is interesting, and climbs really well. The dude soloed Dave Graham's hardest route (until he did his new 5.15a in Switzerland)! He has also done numerous hard boulder problems and really scary shit. To say that Evilution is "only V12" is unfair. It is also high as shit with the crux 35 feet off the ground. A testament to its difficulty is that it was established several years ago, is in the middle of one of the most popular boulderfields in the country, yet has only been repeated once or maybe twice. Compared to Fred Nicole's Terre de Sienne in Hueco, supposed V15 established last year and has already seen 4 repeats (his other V15 Techo de los Tres B, which was established a year ago has had about 10 repeats mostly by climbers you have never even heard of.) The truth is Jason is just an eccentric guy. He is a rad artist also (go see his website cryptochild.com) Regardless, he is bad ass and worthy.
