You preceded to raise the specter of spiritual crimes and bleeding broken bodies on the carriage road. Which has nothing to do with how someone records their ascent, only your longing of some imaginary, pure as the driven snow, new tradition.
if you don't want to dog, that's cool. if you don't want to record a climb because you took a fall on it that's fine. If you don't want to belay someone who is dogging, that's cool. You don't have to like those things. But don't expect to not get any opposition when someone who does like to climb like that takes issue with it. And I'm pretty surprised style is so important to a person who topropes so much.

....the ascents marked Toprope are almost exclusively where I seconded on a gear route. Do I like to follow good partners? Yes. Do I like to lead? yes. My favorite climbing is onsight, leading.
Someone "likes" to climb in a style where dogging is the norm - go to it. But don;t claim they sent the route! Especially if they demanded their belayer to take up slack right before they tried any hard moves. Doubly especially if their belayer outweights them by enough to yard them up the route in doing so.
And I'm interested to know exactly - Who hear DOES count an ascent as ticked if they fell on it? Truly - that is a serious reqeust. And if so - what would they say is their "falling acsent" grade vs. their "nonfalling" ascent?
As to Dr Feelgood projecting my mom. Yeah...she probably is pretty stiff. And not very hungry. Being that she died in 1999 at the age of 65 and all. But you just go right ahead and flail away.

Ok, now I have no idea what you are talking about. Obviously, if someone fell or had to take, they did not send the route. But they still did the route, and it isn't dishonest to record it as a dogging ascent.
it sounds like your problem is with people who lie, not about terminology at all. I'd say your earlier comments are irrelevant.

OH MY F'ING GOD, CAUGHTINSIDE! My whole post STARTED OUT SAYING IF YOU FELL (oops...cap button stuck) on the route you didn't send it! I said I thought it was "well...." about even having a "hangdog" option as an ascent!

That's not true at all. This is the first time you've said that if you fell you didn't send What you actually said was:

so either you didn't know the difference between the terms ascent and send, your arugments are a rambling incoherent mess, or you're backtracking.
