Unless the pocket is already there, bullet holes don't really make for good holds. Just leads to a really shallow conical crater. Now as far as improving holds, well that's a whole other story.

Not to cut into ldsclimber's idea but has anyone called or talked to metolius, or nicros,... about deals for military deployed? My company is headed over in April and there's 5-6 climbers and we would love to take some stuff over there with us to build small walls.

Bring a Chisel, a 2-3# hammer, and some epoxy. Those texas barriers are not just put there for your health. Find one with a decent crack and go to town.
If you're on taji, there is a nice hand crack on the east side of Pod 1.

hey all the wall is awesome and is pumping the hell out of us the marines are loving it. Thanks Landon for the the X mas package. we'll have to go it up death canyon' when I get back there's some awesome Climbing back in there!! Thanks to all and Merry Christ mas from all of us out here in the land of rank and sand.
