well this is a good week for me. I have off thurs-sun... I plan on being at the bluff on friday for sure...any other days i can be easiyly convinced(I just twisted my own arm) to make the journey down....And being that my wife has to work all weekend, not only am I free to play to my hearts content, but since she is getting up early, hence so am I. josh

My father is in town this weekend, so I have to cater to him. If I can talk him into coming down to Red Wing, I will go, otherwise I will just have to skip it. I can do Wednesday though.

I'm sure the forcast will change by then but right now Sun is the better looking of the 3 days, however I will suffer thru 40's on Fri or Sat if thats what everyone else wants to do, I'll talk to duskerhu tonight, I'm pretty sure Sat will probly be doable, but you never know maybe Fri will warm up. I always prefer Fri if possible. Les

UMmmmmm..... AAHHhhhhh,,,, wellllll,,,, (thats the sound of me "hemmin' & hawwin'" over the weather issue.) I too would like to climb in the WARMEST weather possible... ...and, I too like Fridays, but Saturday may be a bit warmer this week... Sunday kinda doesn't work for me this week so... Good thing its only Monday night/Tuesday morning... Seems I got at LEAST 3 or 4 more days to make a decision... I'm gonna go check the weather... Dann

Well, the weather is definately NOT cooperating as far as I'm concered!!! I just looked at the weather computers here at work (airport) and the highs are as follows: Friday = 33 Saturday = 35 Sunday = 38 And those, assuming they get that high, will be around 1500 hours... I don't know; unless I see a drastic chance of change (meaning warmer), or, Les has a convincing argument, I think I'm gonna bug for this weekend. I have other things I need to do anyway and its a good excuse for me to stay home and get them done. The other thing, I can always run (7 minutes from home) up to VE and climb with Louis and the kids if I get the urge on... Anyone have a "convincing argument" feel free to bring it on! duskerhu

Hmmm, I was prepared to go as low as 30 deg, but I will not try to talk anyone into going at that temp, weather.com is showing 43 for Sun and 52 for Mon. Dann you said you had a problem with Sun, well what about Mon? it will mean less sleep but we're talkin bout climbin in Nov here Let me know. If anyone has other ideas lets here them. Les

HHMMmmmmm.... 52 I can deal with... We may be back to aiding our way up some stuff though... I'm not sure if anyone else would be able to come along on Monday. What cha think, have stick-clip will travel??? Let's wait at least another 24 and see. I'm not totally off Saturday if it decides to warm up a bit... If it doesn't, I think I can do Monday. I get my land-based phone today too so I can get back to checking PM's and email from home again this weekend... Dann

Well Les, If you want to shoot for Monday, Let's kinda look at it and communicate Sunday night. My weather here is knowhere near 52 on Monday. In fact, it's 39 and mixed precip... It is however looking like a bit of a warm-up as the week goes on... We might want to shoot for Wednesday too if we can... Talk to me dude!!! edit: Oh, and BTW, anyone else who isn't working (Louis), is welcome to tag along or meet us there... Josh, Jeff, well, you guys may have to work... Talk to me dudeS!!! The weather forcast is continuing to slip, weather.com is still calling for 47 on Mon (51 on Wed) but that may change. I have a show next weekend I will throw the biggest bratty fit youve ever seen a 40 yr old throw if it gets nice that weekend. If I make good progress getting ready next weekend then how bout this plan: Mon is the weather is 40 or higher, we do BB till its too cold then head to VE to compleatly destroy ourselves. if this fails: Mon VE as usual then Wed hit BB. If for some reason I dont get knives done this weekend, then I will only be able to do one day of climbing. If the weather turns nice next weekend then my table will most likely go unattended for a while and I'll be begging Dann to drag his kids up to the bluff so I have a partner Les [ This Message was edited by: fo_d on 2002-11-15 03:22 ]

I have to pass this weekend. I wanted to bring my dad to Red Wing, but I think it will be too cold for him. He is here from Florida after all. Lets hope it gets warmer next weekend.

Sounds like a plan Les... ...and Jeff, you may be alone at the bluff Saturday... I don't see anyone else thats going... and I got roped into working Friday and Saturday nights so, I'm really gonna be wasted... But, its hard to pass up Fri. time & 1/2, Sat. time & 1/2, and because I worked 7 days in a row, my regular Sunday night becomes DOUBLE TIME! Yeah, I'll deal with it cus he doesn't let me do that very often... So Les, lets talk Sunday night at work to see about the plan for Monday... Check yall later...

The weather is back to looking good for Mon. I guess we'll just have to see when it gets here. I said before that I was willing to climb as low as 30 deg....well I take that back. It must have been about 30 today and I couldnt imagine climbing at that temp. Les

Yeah, I know what you mean Josh. Les and I were gonna climb Monday but I had to wait to see if the cable guy was going to show up... "Oh he'll be there between 1 and 5 pm" (me) Can't you give me a better estimate of what time he'll be here? "Well, I can give you a 2 hour time window if you wanna wait until Friday..." (me) So, I have to get up and wait to see what time he gets here between 1 and 5 pm??? "Yes, unless you want to schedule a 2 hour window Friday or next week..." You know what time the guy showed up??? 4:50 pm... and then it took him an hour to figure out that all the lines were fine, it was just that the "box" that was "F***ed"... Les and I are climbing Wednesday at Barn Bluff about Noon if anyone's interested...
