I was thinking about posting something twisted, but there's really no point in it. Rachel, I climb harder than your husband.... I'm just sayin'.

What you may or may not put into your profile has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you do or do not climb. What I find entertaining about you thus far, is that within your profile you state that you are an Engineering student, yet are super excited to make me coffee in the morning. Sounds like you have strong goals and aspirations. Why not strive to land an internship and get some experience in your chosen field of work instead of being an aspiring coffee brewer. Barista - a fancy word for "I work here." i love the word barista, makes me laugh everytime. just a fancy schmancy word for coffee pourer. quite similiar to what wal-mart refers to as sales associate, you'd think they were all management positions.

ah. well, this is a runaway train, but just in response to the remarks on my marriage I'd like to clarify he regrets selling the bike, not marrying me. And the bike sold for $8-9k I think. It was practically new-- about four months old off the showroom floor. (I certainly never asked him to do that for me, btw.) That's why I seriously want to buy him a new one as soon as I get out of school and start making some money. And thanks, navis. I think I'm capable of shifting through the shit and finding some good information... starting with not coming back to this thread

You need to come up north where everything starts big. Are you serious? Ever heard of a place called TAHQUITZ?? 10 pitches of pure granite lovin.... Rachel- Don't believe everything you hear. I grew up in NorCal and have lived in SD for 8 yrs now. There is nothing better than climbing all morning and heading to the beach for an afternoon surf. You and your friend from the cruise are welcome to come here anytime you want. ps its not fair for any region to claim Yosemite; its smack in the middle and expansive enough for everyone. When was the last new route done there? 1956 or something? Cheers DMT

SoCal prides itself in world-class trad climbing. Trad is short for traditional hence some pretty old routes. Royal Robbins put up the first 5.9 here. Dingus, you got me though, no new routes at Tahquitz in the past 50yrs? Did one of your TN buds tell you this?? Lets try a different area then. Anyone heard of The Needles. Pretty nice little crag and yes the routes are TALL. Need me to break any other of our fine crags out of the woodworks...... Am I really debating the quality of cragging in the southern part of this fine state; will go lb. for lb. with any other area in the WORLD for quality and diversity of climbing.

Lucky for you you're cute...stick around and you'll see what I mean. BTW, welcome to the site. Yeah, I was kinda starting to wonder... the only other board I ever use is the-brights.net, which is philisophical and strict, so I guess I kinda came across as a little niave at first. I'm serious about the rock climbing, though, and I'm still really excited. I'll just have to watch out for the crazy guys here it looks like... Cool.

I smell a troll for sure. What "n00b" refers to them self as that? n00b is what experienced climbers call the inexperienced behind their backs.

so I'm not supposed to know that I'm new? I don't understand. or is this just a new version of picking on me? plus, i was really more referring to being new to the board, since technically I haven't even had my first climb. (a couple indoor walls when I was younger, but I don't count those.)

Rachel You have shown that you could survive the RC BBQ n00b flamers. I mean, you basically did not even allow these n00b haters to breath and knocked off every one of them right from the start. That is something new like never seen before in the history of this site. You are now my “ MASTER”
