Okay, would you rather have a bulldog in turf, or a warthog in blue ice? Also, I was considering getting some new axes for the *ahem* coming season. I was thinking about BD reactors (found a good deal on them) but heard that they changed the metal their picks were made of. I'd mostly be using them for scottish mixxed, would they survive?

we're gone from beyond gum on shoe. Maybe leftover pieces of beef from the previous night's dinner that were removed during the mastication process and then discarded to be stepped upon by an unsuspecting traveller. Regardless, I wouldn't converse with them on a regular basis.

Bulldogs in turf and frozen in logs are truck! Haven't use a worhog in many years. IN blue Ice I'll take a good icescrew. As for the Reactors... Just don't. And yes, you'll break many many BD picks on Scotish mixed. Do youself a favour and get a set of Grivel tools with Mixte picks. DMM, Simond, and CM are next in the order on my list of burly tools.

I had a feeling. Next on my list is the Grivel Takoons, my friend (who doesn't climb) has a pair he uses as an action piece, for when the girlies are at his pad. must...convince...to sell to me...! Surely a pair of used+abused DMM Venoms would look better then a shiny new pair of takoons? no, you're right... they wouldn't.

How about this: a warthog as a chock (you used your spare prussik to make is possible) or a bulldog in a horizontile crack (tied off to reduce torque on the stem). And with this question I must leave you. Catch you guys in like 9 hours.

If I needed a Chock that size I'd pull one of the Blue Tricams from the biner it's racked on and place it.

I should have specified, the bulldog isn't hammered in, it's only slotted IE. just the vertical torque will be holding it in. But I'm talking worst case scenario, maybe you dropped your tri-cams. Anyways, this really is goodnight. goodnight.

As I don't drop tricams, I would still have them, but say I used it lower on the pitch... given the choice between the two I'd take option "C" and hammer home the baby angle racked with the small selection of pins I take Ice climbing and confidently climb above a solid piece of steel. I have once used a spare pick for a DMM fly as a piton before too, I'm crafty and resourcefull.

Haha, yeah, I know. I said tbh the other day... DO'H! I guess I say all the abbreviations jokingly so much that I guess one just slipped out. Anywhoo, I'm on cuz I'm working, yo. Get to try out this new co-lab bag mountain biking today, though. itz meant to be almost waterproof or sommat, should be a good test: it's pissing it down again.

Btw, I'm of the opinion you'd enjoy Scottish winter. I got a spare bed in a hotel, with the option room and board in return for a couple of hours a work a day. All in the middle of prime winter climbing territory!

I also have to dress up in a naughty maid's outfit and dust the high shelves. Sometimes I play gheyme cube and drink natty ice whilst sitting around in my underware. It makes me feel special. All in the middle of prime winter climbing territory! Oh my!

All before the month is up. it's gonna be one short road trip. Correct. Shorter than mine? That would suck if it was Actually, even if WMD fell on a boyscout's path today I think he trip has already been longer than Docs (unless you count Doc's time in the hospital). Maybe we should start a pool? Maybe we could just use L'habitant's? Didn't you pee in her pool? I'd pee in her pool. I'd pee in your drink. I'd pee on your carpet. The one that really ties the room together. You would soil our rug?

Wow, except for some tidbits from Brendon (BTW - neither Nathan or I have broken a BD pick yet. I know people do, I just don't understand it), this thread is turing into a total Donny-rama.
