Rappelling down a chain of quickdraws works fine if you use a dulfersitz, as we all used to do back in the Pleistocene. Of course, you may have to endure the bruising of delicate nether regions as the biners ride over them---carabiners are notorious for their disregard of soft tissue. Two options present themselves: (1) train for the experience by rappelling first on knotted bedsheets, working up to link chains, or (2) hire a dominatrix to flail your groin. The second option is an equally good solution as far as the pain side of the equation, although it will be much harder to arrange for the thrill of the fatal ground fall that is a likely consequence of the twisting action on the quickdraws' linked biners. This defect can be addressed by having the dominatrix push you out a window at some random moment in the flailing exercise, being careful, of course, not to telegraph her intentions so as to preserve the delicious uncertainty inherent in the failure of linked biners.

In reply to: Let's say I get to the top of the route on my 20 draw chain, this presents the problem of getting down. How could I rap down this chain? Well...lets see if it takes 20 draws to get to the ground that puts at around.... say (20*18cm=3.6 m) At which point i would just walk down, or jump.then again 3.6 m fall, that will hurt without pad, better stick to rapping. Actually now that i think of it...the solution is simple...Buy a rope. You're back will thank you after that first fall factor 2 you take on static webing.

Where was that story about a guy clipping two draws together, clipping into them and then climbing above the bolt to to mess with something? He came off, fell several feet onto the static draws and busted the biners in half. He then busted himself on the ground. Apparently, you factor 2 onto static gear (even a couple of feet) at your peril...

thats why I might recomend steel lockers, opposite and opposed. of course by the time you bought 80 steel lockers you probably could have bought something like 5 10.5mmx60m ropes

Alright guys, I decided I'm going to take your advice and buy a rope tonight. I scrounged together enough money for it (don't ask me how ) so I won't have to try the maneuver I described in my original post. Climbing with a rope is gonna be awesome!!!
