Do we have to carry the canoes up the climb?
Or can we just canoe to a climb then canoe back? Either way it sounds fun Smile

Work on adding an extra layer of skin. The rock out there is SO sharp. Sweet rock, though. I love the formations and it's only a few hours away from where we live.

You should have started a post with the title "Barely legal and oh so ready to climb". I'm just giving you crap (as you can tell by the picture).

I'd love to go with a group out to J-Tree but would need a month or two advance notice. If you head out there with a crew, let me know when and what camp.

Much much sharper. But then I never thought J-tree rock was all that sharp in the first place. We would do 10 climbs a day some days at J-tree and my hands were fine most the time. I do tape up for jam cracks though. Hobbit roof (10.b) did take a nice bight out of me But other then that I thought the rock was pretty dam good. It's not smooth by any means but far from the worst I have climbed on.

I am a handy man so I work with my hands alot.
That might be why I have tuff skin of something but my wife climbs with me to and her hands held up really well also. Don't get me wrong after a soild week of climbing your hands will be beat to hell and back. But most times not in just one day.

Well back before the wife and kids, we climbed there a bit. And a weekend was enough. Although not beat up like you say, just the finger tips were toast, and not up for any more climbing. Now, one day is enough to reach that level.
