Sucky indeed. Just curious, for those claiming that price was a barrier: do you buy Climbing and/or Rock and Ice every month? If you look at the cost over a year (not discounted subscription rates, but buying individually each month), assuming about $4 each for C/R&I, it's practically a wash. And when you think about the caliber of articles, photos, and overall presentation of Alpinist, it was a no-brainer for me.

Ugh.

Nope. I probably buy a climbing mag approximately once every 6-12 mos?

YEah, but I spend more on coffee than on gear.

On a serious tip, I'm just not infatuated with alpinism enough, so it seems like, yeah, there's this feature on Yosemite and then there's a couple more issues about the couloirs of Columbia or sumshit I'm not interested in. Maybe that's just my misperception about ALpinist but it's still a loss to us as a magazine and, I presume, as a website.

Does this mean I'll get the fourth issue I never received?

It would be nice to see Alpinist come back. But if the new owners are not going to live up to the old owners, then I hope they just trash the name...
