I need to decontaminate 3 rooms today. There is too much DNA floating in the air. And the stuff i do at work is unfortunately sensitive enough to detect 1 molecule of it. It would be the first of several rounds of cleanup, over the next couple weeks. Hoping that i would suddenly come down with a case of horribly-infectious disease and be hospitalized for a month, or otherwise taken out of commission in the next hour... unlikely... Sigh... today is not my favorite day.

Busy busy!! Cat went back to the vet yesterday. Two more enemas and three poops later he's finally started eating again. Still, this means I'm not headed down to St. Catharines tonight because I want to be with him tonight and tomorrow morning to make sure he keeps eating. Trying to get things arranged at work before I go away for 2.5 weeks next week. ugh

In fact, it would have been preferable to the current situation...

Hope all gerks have been busy climbing this weekend. The temps looked really good at the Red, but we had a busy weekend. Baby Monkey is not a little baby anymore. She had a big sleepover to celebrate this fact. It was actually a lot of fun, even for me, BUT... The girls didn't settle down until 3a.m. on Saturday night. UGH!!! I was a zombie on Sunday. But I had already planned to have Heffe's Mom over for dinner. Heffe and Ed were also present, and the dinner was nice. But I was glad that there were no late-night owls in that group of guests. I had my PT yesterday, and my quads are oh-so-sore now. Doing lunges on the BOSU ball is hard... But I think it is legitimately hard even for non-gimps, so I am happy about it. AND, I went up to 120lb on one-legged press. Woooo? My PT says that she will work with me on jumping starting next week. I told her that I have sort-of accidentally forgot that i wasn't supposed to jump, and I did jump down while setting some routes earlier in the week. Only a few feet, but... And it was fine. She says that's a better indicator that I am ready to jump, than anything else. Yay for accidental forgetting.

If I had done that I probably wouldn't have hurt my back. My bad leg went into automatic protection mode and let my spine take all the force. Bad News Bears.

Did some trail work at one of the local areas on Saturday morning and then got off the couch and climbed in the afternoon. It's going to be a shit-show and a while before I get my dignity back from the closet (next to the scuba equipment, golf clubs, etc.) I'm weke. Life's taking a turn and I need to re-evaluate priorities. I think that #16 is going to start happening for me.

I am convinced that this kind of "guarding" was, in part, what contributed to Ed breaking his ankle this past fall. Sure, he got a harder catch than he should have, and that was a major factor. But also, he was probably protecting his knee, so he probably didn't absorb as much impact in the fall as he would have, if his knee were 100%, and that's why the ankle broke.

They are probably wanking while sanitizing. Evidently... Another day of beating head against the wall. No progress... neither breaking the wall, nor the head. Contamination still there. Slowly inching down from 3 out of 4, to 1 in 10, and now 1 in 30. Anybody wants to predict how long is it going to be before i get to less than 1:1000?

Well there's your problem - it's your own dna*. Now stop contaminating the walls of the lab. * Not to mention all the microbes living on your head.
