http://neice.com/2010/10/yes-ice/ I was just a little bit excited for this coming ice season...and then I saw this: and yes, this was taken this morning!

Ya, well it was 20°C in Calgary yesterday and I almost got a sunburn. I'll take a couple more weeks of rock then the we'll start seeing some of those CDN Rockies pics we're all used to. In all seriousness, I'm not ready for ice yet this year... but that is a sweet teaser.

Just checked the forecast... there's tones of moisture up high, snow in the alpine, and more importantly the overnight and daytime temps are in the right range. I predict Ice climbing in the CDN Rockies next weekend.

First day of PA ice climbing (as a matter of fact it was actually the first time I've ever climbed ice in PA). Its a bit thin, but definitely a fun time.

Damn, i want some vertical too! Snowed about 40cm here in the last 36h, but its quite warm. gotta check this stupid thing again, maybe the 4m formed again this year? Or maybe scout form some short gullies. It was quite wet the last weeks, so maybe there will be some frozen dirt to be found. Or I just go rockclimbing, if my stupid cold will get better. qwert

Finally talked my wife in trying ice this winter...and...she LOVED it.

So what's with the ice park. Nothing open except school room and kids wall? Why didn't they warn us ahead of time?[:(

Well there aint much discussion on the subject with respect to the ice park. There was about 100 euros down there wondering the same thing, why no internet chitchat.

I dunno what internets you're on, but all of the chatter I've seen is how the season has gotten off to a horrible start.
