Well looks like I couldn't twist my boss's arm for the extra day off so I'm not coming in until late Wed. night. I need to start working for myself so I can blow whenever I want. See ya at the setup party on Thur. bibs: Hey do we need to bring anything for setup. Mallet, hammer, drill, pack of elephants to raise them tents?

Wrestling.... "Toss the Ring on the Male Ice Climber" round robin tournament.... Yep. Shaping up to be just another day of climbing with my Colorado buddies. See ya in 5 days.

In reply to: Okay...I know this is super cheese...but I've always really liked the lyrics... "He was born in the summer of his XXth year, comin' home to a place he'd never been before..." That'd be the 27th year, and the rest of the song is even better. When I was in my last month of living in Atlanta, I would listen to that song once a day, just to remind me of what lay before me. "Left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again. Might say he found a key to every door."

we are here in OURAY.... my luggage got in 24 hours late (just before midnight last night -- during our party)...i was wearing clothing from pheenixx and sharpie. we squeezed in one climb yesterday. pheenixx got an knee injury on the way out... mama sheep broke her pinky when aaron and i tried to remove the vipers from her -- in her intoxicated state she was very dangerous. 50% of the group is injured, it's raining, and i have already been wearing girl pants... just what we expected. nothing to see hear. move along. r.r.

Is anyone from Colorado Springs headed to the festival? I'd like to carpool if you are. I'm leaving Thursday afternoon and coming back Sunday afternoon/evening. So far, I have a ride there but no ride back. Any takers? I'd be happy to contribute gas $$$.

In reply to: great, an epic start like this and im not going to be there except in Spirits, you better send back pictures for the rest of us!!!!!!!!!!! just so props can be given...the bag has definitely contributed to the mayhem by being here in spirits. he, somehow, got us a nice bottle of tequila (it showed up before us). it was awesome. thanks, buddy. last two days have been great. yesterday, went to the lower bridge with a guide to work some mixed stuff. did a couple of m6's and an m7+. it was fantastic. got some pix. the sheep and the sharp one headed out to do some leads. which is what we did again today....the temps are warmer than normal. the ice is plastic which is nice, but the protection is made pretty sketchy... got the boot at the outlaw cause we weren't on the petzl guest list... i think mickymac is in town, but have yet to find him. reno...we will be at buen tempo tomorrow night at 8. we'll be the loud ones....maybe we won't be too loud since tracy won't be there...:( can't wait till everyone gets to town... regards r.r.

jumpin jeebus, you drank it already? I should have bought a case i guess  it was my contribution to the bodacious and lascivious mayhem that would have ensued had i been there in person, but alas, im trapped with my 2 crappy jobs and may find time to get out this friday and do some local ice laps in parallel with you at the festival. Sans whooping and hollarin, but just the same, i kinda dig the solo gig, quiet repose as i delicately draft the tools around and tip toe onto the edge of my abilities.....cant wait till im up in them thar hills.....its been 5 weeks too long..... 8^)

Because the site has been down so much email me at dfleury_22@hotmail.com or call 719-330-5506. If for some reason I cant make it would anone be interested in taking my clinics so I dont get charged 300 friggin dollars for the cancellation fee's? They are just the begginer clinics but they are on me! Martha is there any chance I could catch a ride with you?

Hopefully you can make it or get a lenient retraction from the clinics, its way lame that they would charge people that got stuck due to weather, esp since you really cant control that. Good luck.

Yeah it is lame. I called the festival to see if they would still charge us if we couldnt make it out due to weather and they were real dicks about it! Im not impressed by the attitude I got at all. Having said that we are going to make an attempt tommorow.
