Flamer I plan on living at shelf road this summer, anytime you want to get a REAL noob up some of those .10,.11's just say the word.

Sorry bro I don't travel to sport climb.

If you want to hit Eldo, boulder, or clear creek canyons I'm game. Maybe some stuff in the platte or lumpy....

Well I know that I am NOT a Front Range CO person but I do live in the "Front Range", of Laramie, WY. Well I was wanting to extend and inventation to anyone who would like to climb at Vedauwoo (www.vedauwoo.org) just let me know. Now I know that it can be kind of a long drive depending on where your comming from, but if you have any intentions of climbing here (or anywhere in Wyoming) let me know and maybe we can intergrate our two state. Well food for thought.

Of course, I'm up for it. I liked shelf quite a bit, I'll probably be going back often.

Hmmm, I guess Grapevine or Eumenides will be my first Lumpy .8. I just have to see if I can drag my partner all the way to the Sundance Buttress.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Hey Skibabeage, havnt heard from you in awhile.

Saturday Im doing a group thing with a bunch of teens at the garden, but on sunday I might be at shelf or wherever the group decides on. If not the next weekend would be fine, I would like to spend a long weekend there. Know anybody who could put up some leads? I could do easy ones .9's and easy 10's. Put it in the book with pencil.

When Rob gets back from Zion he will want to go Im sure. Im actually thinking of moving there, is there a place I could plug in a tv and a computer and a frig?

Edit: If anyone from up north would want a place to stay so you didnt have to drive the whole way down to shelf, we have a few rooms open and a backyard for tents. I might even be persuaded to cook breakfast... as long as its cereal.

So what's the final decision for this weekend? As my schedule is now, I've got Saturday and Sunday off. I'd like to join this motley gang of climber, but if I don't know where to be, then I'll just head to Moab for the weekend. ;)

Might have to put the skis on for one last hurrah!

Definitely. If it's too wet to climb and we can eek out one more powder day, a trip to the basin might be in order. Anyone game?

Damn weather is definitely puting the poo poo on proper planning. I can't really comment on where I want to attempt to have wishful thinking about climbing. So until the forecast says otherwise, I think I'll hold off on making plans. On the other hand, I would definitely head up into bad weather for hiking, thunderstorms aside.

And all we have are yaktrax. But that should do. Let us hike then. You needed it to be on a certain day, did you not? I have read of a few trails in the Pike's Peak area that sound interesting. That's close to you, of course. But any destination is fine to me. Martha, you want to suggest some trails? You know more about it than we I would say. Something with a low avalanche danger, of course. Heh.

Does anyone want to ditch work and climb on Thursday? I'm free until 3:00, when I have to leave to catch a plane. Garden of the Gods, anyone?

Hey everyone,
Been around here for a while and always looking for people to climb with.
Just got back from a 4 month Hiatus courtesy of Uncle Sam and need to seriously get my climb on. Went to Shelf this past Saturday and felt pretty good on the .9s before the snow and wind chased us off.

Anyways, I'm in Colorado Springs and have some saturdays and most weekdays off. I lead 7-8s trad and 9-10 Sport. Got tomorrow free if anyone is up for some climbing in the area.

Heather, would love to climb on Thursday but got plans already..

The earliest that I can ditch on work during the week is 3:00. But if anyone wants to hit Eldo or Boulder Canyon duing the week I'm game. Of course This will work better when the days get longer.

I'm in - I've got a headlamp to rap in the dark! :)

I, like you, will have more time when DST kicks in. If you don't mind doing moderate routes(5.5-5.7 Eldo) I'm in. :)

I tend to have a couple of days off during the week and it appears I can get weekends pretty reliably. :)

Hey everybody,

I plan to skip out of work early Friday (damn the man  ), and have been talking to skycat about sport in either Golden or CCC but would like to expand my horizons in Boulder Canyon... So hows about Boulder Canyon Friday afternoon?

What do you guys say to doing the group thing, meet at Neptune (say 3 pm) and head up to Boulder Canyon. Knowing that some folks may have to meet us later, any suggestions on crags in BC?

Kyle

Good luck and safe climbing to Rob and Larry who are headed out to do a wall in Zion this weekend! Get lots of cool pics and lots of cool stories! If either of you log on tell us what you are doing, I forgot.

I wasn't sure what you meant until I found the Ammon thread and the rockfall accident. Wear a helmet I would say and expect similar rockfall. Any word on what caused it? Not that it's controlable even if it was human caused.
