If I am ahead of you on a wall and you get bored waiting, too bad, I was here first......

No offense, but that isn't the kind of attitude you want to take with you to Yosemite.

It is a common courtisy on walls to let faster, more compentant parties pass when convenient. It may hold you up a couple of hours, but you could potentaily hold them up a couple of days. Trade routes are a limited resource, share the walls and earn extra karma points.

edit:
Furthermore, I would rather let a party pass if they are definately faster, then have them waiting on me every pitch. It sucks having some one climbing up on your ass, and when a leader arrives at your big wall belay...things start to suck real quick.

unless they or you absolutely must have someone in your party lead every pitch you can usually drop them a line and have them skip a pitch...or vice versa..tends to make up for lost time...

No worries, guys and gals. I know to let em pass me. I was hoping the  would convey my quirkyness. Sorry if it didn't. As I will probably be hanging at various points for quite a while, I will gladly let you pass.

I play golf, usually quickly, and enjoy being able to play through the slower players......I hope to extend that courtesy to the quicker climbers, and maybe get some pointers on the way up.

Peace, love, and lots of jugs.........and good holds, if thats your bag.
