Name & initial. The -ji suffix is also a sign of respect in hindi, and probably in really bad taste to apply it to yourself. What can I say?

Vicum is latin for "with power," used, I think, as an ablative of manner.

I had mine from another site where I was getting emails, but didn't want to use my primary account, so I came up with a username on the spot. I was feeling really happy at the time, so that word just stuck in my head, but then I thought...."Well, I won't always be feeling happy. Sometimes I will be downright nasty...but I don't want to have a negative sounding username, like happysometimes/b- -chy at others.... So, I chose to make the happy into a more cutesy spelling and add "grrrl" to cover the "not so happy" days.... My user name doesn't really reflect my real life personality...... but it has been interesting to see that I get quite a bit more slack cut with this user name than I do at times where I use my "real" email username. (I don't want to say that one, because it has my last name as part of it, and I get enough guys sending me PMs...don't need to have the telephone calls start up...)

My name doesn't not come with me wanting to die while climbing. During the old BBS days, for me that was ~ 15yrs ago (jebus krist!), I created chicago's biggest and baddest pirate board called the County Morgue (R.I.P.).. And as sysop, it was only fitting to be called the corpse - it sounded way cooler than the mortician (sounded like morticia from addams family).

The first three letters are the abbrieviated name of where I taught climbing during the summer for 5 years (Silver Bay Association), the rest isn't quite as creative. I had been using the handle on ICQ before I even knew about RC.com, and figured it was easiest to just keep using it.

Tsyklon aka Cyclone. Refers to my feelings. Family and friends would always tell me I have a Cyclone of emotions. :D So then they would call me Cyc.(Cyke) Now majority of people I know call me Cyc. The name is stuck like glue on me. I don't mind it. Real name is Aaron.. and on the crag. You'll often hear (OFF BELAY AARON) Hardly you'd hear (OFF BELAY CYC) Works for me ;) that and Cyclone was taken here.. So I often go to Tsyklon. Which looks pretty cool to me :D

i used to sing this little song while climbing with a few friends and they started singing it too 'he's a monkey... he's a boy... he's a monkey boy...' and i guess the pagan slipped in since i'm wiccan in utah, where they firmly believe in some weird sh1t...

Ha...mine takes me back. It's actually from a video game, Final Fantasy III (US). Gogo was a secret character who added nothing to the direct plot of the game, but was an incredible badass who could do anything any other character could do. On top of that, he had crazy theme music. And GoGo sounds cool.

My name is from a computer game (HOMM, where it's the name of some barbarian warlord). I chose it because of the wordplay with crag and hack. So I hack the crag :D , or maybe it's the other way round - the crag hacks me :? !

I wouldn't say mine is as creative as some of the others I've read, but here it is: "rockn" for obvious reasons and the fact that I listen mostly to rock and metal music. J 'cause its my first initial  .

In the late 70's-early 80's I used to show a 1 1/2 hour slide show of my climbing exploits on the college outing club circuit. It was a blend of narrative and music (Floyd, Hot Tuna, Talking Heads, REM) and covered rock, ice, big walls, and mountaineering. The title was "Edge Games". Move forward 20 years to when I become coach of the junior team at the Dover Indoor Climbing Gym. We needed a name, and wanted an original one, as other gyms were the lame "Cliffhangers" or "Wallcrawlers" and the like. I suggested the "Dover Edge" because it sounded like a sports franchise kind of name, and the kids voted for that as a team name. Afterwards the gym's owner laughed, as he had briefly considered naming the gym "Dover the Edge". I'm glad he didn't... So, Edge has historic and current meaning for me, and I like it's simplicity.

I've got a steel plate and eight screws in my foot from a bone graph. I crushed my heel after taking a 30 foot fall.
