listening to many suggestions I AM GOING TO BUY A BOOK so which one do you think is the best for a new trad climber.

on top of this i am going to be taking a 2day trip with a guide to learn gear placemnet anchor building and evrything else the only thing is i need my rack before then and that is why i ask these questions.

Scott, don't buy any books, I've got plenty that you could borrow. Also, you can get the Trango Classic Wiregate biner at Ramsey Outdoors for $4.95. Then you don't have to pay for shipping and they also have coupons on their website that you can print off.
