I'm with Steve...I go for the burger. Doesn't really matter where, but for some reason a burger/fries and coke hit the spot after a day of climbing.

My preference is pasta. I prefer curly noodles cuz the straight ones are hard for me to work with. Then you add your spaghetti sauce of choice. To top it off, I add meatballs, the kind you get frozen and heat up in the microwave. Of course, this is just what I'd LIKE to have. Most of the time, I just scrounge thru the kitchen for anything edible.

Hummus sandwich on toasted cheese bread from Wailua bakery in Haleiwa... anything from Kua'aina burger... ditto for Big Kahuna's... shredded beef taquitos from Maria Bonita.... I may not like being on Oahu much, but I've managed to find enough great out-of-the-way eateries to keep me happy after climbing! Jeremy

Carbs. Pasta is probably tops. I also enjoy the liquid carbs found in a cold beer. When I am at camp this summer the after climbing food will be ice cream. The kids hardly ever get it, so we stop for it on the way back as a treat.

depends on where i climb. if it is crni kal, misja pec or osp, i always go for a Vikiburger. If it is anywhere else i love a pizza and some dark beer. unless theres a good hamburger place nearby. or some spagetti. CLIM ON

I crave protein after climbing. Before I want carbs but after its protein theres days where I would kill for a tuna fish sandwich or a nice peice of chicken breast or some almonds. After a hard work out you need to consume protein to build muscle and repair damage.

oh goodness where to start... a big turkey sammich from Bison Witches on 4th Ave (it's right around the corner from the gym), something slimy from Denny's (bonus that I can go there in grungy climber mode and nobody notices), or, if I am too poor for eating out, then a whole lotta pasta.

If you are ever climbing in the Cedar City/ Utah area, be sure to stop at a place, in Cedar City, call Brad's Food Hut. (Otherwise known as Brad's Slut Hut) Order the Bronco Buster Hamburger. I'll tell you, it's the best hamburger i've ever had.

when i bring my best dogfriend to rockclimbing, we usually stop at wendy's after climbing and i get us triple cheez burger. i pull 1 of 3 beefs out for my dog so i eat "double cheez" burger and she eats single one. she is always a happy dog.
