DRINK A HUGE ASS OR TWO HUGE ASS GLASSES OF WATER AFTER EVERY MEAL!! and wait 10 minutes before you "allow" yourself to eat anything else. it works for me. i only ate one plate at thanksgiving and i plan on doing the same over the winter solstice anniversary (hahah you thought iw as going to say baby jesus' birthday didn't you...)

Wow, way to dodge the "Christmas" term...I think its gay how people have moved from "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays" I'll try that with the water, good call filling up the good ole stomach. -Danno

I had fellow climber here at work tell me "dude...that cookie...you eat that...that's one hold you won't be able to get". While i'm not to sure how close to reality that is. I mean.....1 burrito that might be one (or two) holds you won't be able to get. But it does bring up a valid point. Moderation. Or run...a lot....I already mapped out a few jogging routes (via google earth) around my in-laws where i'll be for 4 days.

I've always been amazed at people who overeat :) I have limited eating capacity, so once its filled - thats it! Nothing else is going !! I'm a slim girl, and my good Russian mother is always trying to stuff me, but it just doesn't work :))))) I don't think I ever ordered desert at a restaurant :(

What is wrong with stuffing yourself over the holidays? I have been eating like crazy and look forward to stuffing myself even more until after New Years. Mmmmmmmmmm... Home-made chocolate chip cookies. Yum!

I like to think of it as weight-training I figure the heavier I am...the stronger I'll be once the weight comes off Sure, the weight hasn't come off in over two years...but that's besides the point!

Most serious and good climbers I know are obsessed about their weight I don't know why. Everyone tells you how skinny you are but you are the one who can really see the changes in your physique I mean you look at yourself almost everyday. I just try and remember that in a week when i return home i will be eating tuna fish and pasta again for every meal.

It makes a huge difference to me...the difference between 6 lbs is about 2-2.5 letter grades; I will be running like a mofo the next month to try and drop the 3-4 I gained over break and try and drop another 3-4 for winter/spring season.

What? That's my favorite part of the holidays--eating a shitload of unhealthy, tasty food.

fukit, go pig out! i think throughout the holidays i only go maybe 1.5-2 hours between meals. in that time, i snack. come spring time i'll go climb another wall, lost almost 10 pounds on the last one. i don't diet to climb, i climb to diet.
