Sounds like my local crag. When it's not people breaking into cars, it's tourists throwing stuff down at climbers.

Once I had immediately lowered off the climb I would find the dink that cut the webbing and jamb my partner’s nut tool up his ass, hook first.

John Long in close call book talks about a case where these guys were setting up a tyrolian system on LOST ARROW in Yosemite and some dude showed up on the other side and kept asking what the climbers were up to but ,then he did not get a straight answer and said; " fu8k you too" , took his knife and cut their anchor on the far side and left .

I'd point out with nifty red, yellow and green arrows how I was going to strangle them with the remaining anchors

Though a slightly different subject, the article is about the 19yo kid home on leave from the army that died in a fall recently - about which there is already a thread going. Pretty sad there are people so malicious as to cut other people's ropes and pro - or even threaten to do it. God Bless, mik

In reply to: What would happen if you were climbing and I cut one of your safety webs? Seriously, what could I do? Speed up to the anchor before he cuts it? Talk to him so he doesn't cut it? Wait for a fast death? Do you have other weird questions?

Talk to him so he doesn't cut it? Wait for a fast death? Do you have other weird questions? You look the redneck right in the fucking eye and tell him "I'd KILL YOU if you did that." And mean it. That's what you do. DMT
