I need to get some new trad draws (lots actually) all of mine are tied and old. I want sewn stuff and was wondering where most of you buy it? I also need to get some replacement carabiners. Mine are old wiregate and I am considering changing. What carabiners do you prefer? I kind of wonder about a California roll too.

Some people don't like this new fangled material, but it sure is light and easy to handle. Oh, and the colors are brighter too! A fact people always forget to mention.

I use the Trango Superfly biners on the Mammut 8 mm slings.
Nice light combination for trad.

I really like the superfly also. I would get all that stuff from gearexpress.com if I were you. Deals on 'biners and they have tons of different slings. They don't carry the Mammut, but I use the BD 10 mm and I'm not sure I could tell the difference between 10 and 8 without doing a side by side.

The Trango Superfly is great. Throw them on long 10mm dyneema slings and double them over.

I'd also put out the mad rock superlights as well. I use them on 10mm BD runners. Cheap, incredibly light and extremely strong.

It is a good deal, but as you have seenfrom the posts here, the 10's take up a lot less space and weight. Either way it sure will beet your old tied 1" nylon to hell and back.

FISH products. 24" nylon slings are only $3 each. You can order direct. Sometimes sells batches on e-bay, too.

It's obviously not enough to make two 4' prussiks but it is enough to make two prussiks of usable lengths. That is actually a good deal if you need the stuff... it's how I started my trad rack and I still use all of it in some way shape or form.

I usually use the 5/8" x 24" for all my extendable draws. The 1" x 24" ones are just too wide to perform the quick change from a quick draw to a full length sling, and are sorta bulky. Over the shoulder though is just fine.

See, right on cue (well, almost right on cue). I like those 5/8s slings -- plenty slick for sliding Xs, etc. Should have ordered more than one color to facilitate untangling and racking.

On occasion there is more than one color.... but what usually happens is I buy the entire skid of webbing, sadly all one color, to get the best price on the webbing. Sometimes there is a roll or two of different colors available, but for the most part it will all be one color on each skid.
Buy up all the blue slings and maybe the next batch will be something else.... I am getting low on webbing right now, so maybe something of a color change will pop up later.
