I will be back home in Georgia from Dec 17- Jan 10 or so. I would like to find someone willing to teach me gear placements and the like. I've got a rack, but don't know correct placements, and would like to live to see another day. I can climb 11s and some 12s sport, if it matters.

If your lookin for a good instructor, you'll have to pay for it. But can you put a price on life?

I........

-Have six years of teaching experience(sailing and climbing).

-Hold a degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College.

-Was taught by professionals of the course of 4 years, and have been trad-climbing for 7.

-Need cash!

-Am not one of those egotistical instructors that you might see on the rock.

-respect all questions and concerns.

Go to the Southeastern Climber's Coalition message board and see if you can hook up with anyone there. There are several good trad climbers who may find the time to go out with you. Honestly, you first need to second a bunch of Trad leads. So all you really need to do is hook up with a Trad partner and go climbing, seconding up after them. In due time you will learn the nuances of gear and be ready to get on the sharp end above gear.

For the SCC message board, go to

www.seclimbers.org and clink on the appropriate link to the left.

Join the atlanta climbing club. You may find someone there.

I just started trad leading in september and am not qualified to teach.

Me & a buddy will be climbing in the North GA/TN area Dec 27-Jan 1. Havn't yet ironed out the plans though.
