Looking at various ways to cool off the entire climbing gym I'm building. What have you seen in your gym that works?

Not worried about AC units themselves. More on the vent layout and locations. Another-words, making the air cold is easy, getting the cold air where it's needed is more important.

In addition to 2 AC units we installed a few of the Aerius Air Pear fans to help circulate the air within the space:

they're working well, and were not terribly expensive (especially compared to the AC units!)

Where's the gym going to be located? Mechanical design is pretty climate sensitive. I design energy efficient mechanical systems for a living.

Look into using a VRF system for your offices/front desk area and a 'Big Ass Fan' for the climbing areas to circulate the air. Both are efficient and pretty cost effective to install
