What's up, i need a partner anywhere in the vicinity of northeast CT. I have gear for top roping, now i wanna get into lead climbing, esp. trad, so i need someone to teach me. I can also hook you up with a few other climbers in the area (also beginners).
Peace.

Yeah, i've been going there almost every weekend now, esp the Pot Hole, and i'll mos likely be going a few times a week in the spring, like after school. I've prolly run into u already (umm, i have blond hair, usually climb in shorts or dark blue or black warm-up pants and a t-shirt, wear a black EMS fleece in the winter when i'm belaying), if u recognize me sometime gimme a shout, u could probably teach me some stuff (yeah, and i wanna know about this "gem" ).
Peace out.

Yeah, i def agree about Pot Hole being the best out of the three, it has the most variety and a lot right around my limit, too. Wolf Rock seems a little basic, cept maybe for that one little roof problem, and fifty footer's aiight. But yeah, lemme know if ur gonna be there, always good to hook up w/ more climbers, just PM me or email me or reply to this.
Later dude.

Don't knock 50 Foot. It's hard, but you get good out there if you are persistant. If you are in need of a partner, I suggest 50 Foot, as most locals (eg college folk) are out there, though pothole still remains my favorite. I think you'll also find a few of us out at pothole more frequently as it warms. Though I've been going a bit in the freeze.

Yeah, i'm liking 50 foot more as i get better, although pothole's still my favorite. I find 50 foot is good for strength training while pothole is really good for technique training and edging. I've been at one of the two almost every weekend for the past couple months and sometimes after class (going tomorrow, too, i think), so i've prolly run into you there. Let me know if u see me sometime, i'm trying to find more ppl who are a lot better than me so i can learn from watching them (you're right, i have met some at 50 foot, not as many at pothole though). The original post i made is a little outdated, i have like 10 partners now, but they never go enough, and i'm always down w/ meeting more climbers. PM me sometime if ur coming down here and u wanna meet up.
Peace.
