I always put gold bond in my shoes right after i climb...that keeps them from smelling like poop. Never really used it while climbing, although I think it helps cause its still in there when i put them on, and they stay pretty dry most of the time, but no matter what you do, after a long day of climbing, they will always be sweaty.

goldbond seems to be a little greasy for the hands but the menthol is a great way to cool the, um, nether regions on a hot day.....

also known as a "balltoid"

I'm gonna have to agree with Knuckles on that one. Its a bit slick when wet for chalk, even for putting in my shoes before I climb, but it has its place elsewhere.

Ah HA! I was wondering when GOLDBOND would come up!! Dude, this stuff is the bodily alternative to duct tape!! Things it works great for.... poison ivy, deodrant, keeping your feet dry and fungus free, and above all else GOLDBOND IS THE MIRACLE CURE FOR CHAF!!! Whether said chaf be in your arm pits, thighs, small of your back(think about spending days in your harness). A small bottle is great for walls- it's light and makes you feel clean! Plus it helps those raw chewed up hands!! I love goldbond....
