The air is getting more transparant and cooler, the leaves showing their first hint of color change.

The Dike Walls pristine granite is beckoning as is the pocketed tuff of Clark Canyon....both near Mammoth lakes.

Here's a free pdf topo to both these areas (1MB).

Mick,
The topos look great, and I'm pretty excited for a new Eastern Sierra guide. Glad to see you will be including TONS of different areas (for next summer, maybe?)
Anyway, I don't want to get into a "ratings discussion", but I believe the Dike Wall topo has a minor error on it. The four bolt 'Uli's Thing' is listed at 5.10c.
Sandbagging certainly has a place in this world, but I've climbed that route a number of times, and it definitely isn't in the 5.10 range. It feels pretty similar to it's neighbor, which is listed as 11c. I don't know.
Other than that, everything looks good.

I found a typo. under Camping > Free, Wild, and Dispersed, it says:

"...Mountain Supply on Main Sytreet..."

Another typo further down reads: Whitmore hots springs

The mini-guide looks great (thanks) and the upcoming comprehensive guide should be awesome, especially since it has several new areas to check out. Looking forward to getting back up that way as it's always a blast.
