Hi Guys

Anybody able to give me some info / opinions on the new La Sportiva's Nuptse boots? Any advice much appreciated. I was basically wondering, if they are a good compromise between Leather vs Plastic Hardshell boots.

Seem pretty well made and very warm from the closed foam lining.

cheers Arun

I was looking into the boot, but I was imediatly turned away when I saw that they are well over a pound heavier than than the Vasque and Koflach equivalent. If a boot is going to carry a La Sportiva price tag then they had better rock the competition and that boot does not.

I like the beefy soles, but I would worry that they would be hard to keep clean... that sounds kinda silly, but my Koflachs always get turbo dirty and muddy on the way out (well, in the spring anyways), and the plastic is easy to keep clean. Also, I would worry about the fabric materials absorbing water and then turning into bricks when they freeze.
