Change the "filter" setting in your profile to a lower filtering level--and see if you can see your posts then.

OK, then try this. Go to your profile and select "view all posts" and see if your missing post is in that list. If so, click on it there. If it is not there, maybe you hit "preview" instead of "submit" after writing your post, and it was never really posted.
If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

well I can see my posts there, but it is in the forums that I can't see them. People can quote me so they can see them, yet I cannot..... puzzling (oh and a note I can see them in the topic review when I reply)

Looks like I need to add a 'safety' to the killfile feature. I left it in (killfiling yourself) so that I could test it... time to undo that.
