Does anyone have a report on the MAmmut Meteor gloves?
Warmth? Feel? Strength? General thoughts.

I bought a pair of these gloves earlier in the season. They are "decent" in the warmth category. I can recall several times when my hands were numb and stiff due to being VERY cold....but hell this is ice climbing...cold happens. They feel GREAT, the dexterity is very high and sinking a screw with them is a pleasure compared to some more bulky gloves. In terms of strength, they suck more than any glove Ive used before. The velcro closures for the wrist are single stitched, and after only three days out they had ripped halfway out, leading to considerable cursing and pisstivity. I am still waiting for a pair back from the company. Id advise not to get them....find something else similar (ice floe, etc...). They rock on the ice...but fall apart FAST!!!!

I might add that this failure might have been an isolated incident..so use your own judgement! I dont want to sell Mammut short, I like their products.....just beware!

thanks I am in the process of returning them to the manufacturer just dont fit right. Close but no cigar.
