believe what JR was refering to is the border closing to Alberta cattle again.
Originally the border was scheduled to re-open to cattle grain fed and under 30 months old on Monday Mar. 3rd.
I don't think he realizes it though, it actually has nothing to do with the US government nor the USDA. The re-opening of the border has been post-poned by 1 judge in Montana. He's made a ruling that effectivly nullifies the governments plans to re-open pending the investigation and hearing of statments form montana farmers as to the possible dangers of Canadian Cattle for Mad Cow Disease.
Canada has been listed as a "low-risk country" when it coems to the disease, but apparently this one SHMUCK in montana (that was no doubtedly paid off by the MT cattleman's association), has other plans.
This does not mean the border will not re-open, just postponed until this dickhead has heard what he wants to hear

I heard the I-5 border crossing from Washington to BC was closed for 4 hours last Friday night. Some dude was searched and they found a steel tube stuffed with ball bearings under the driver seat of his car.
Pretty much figured pipebomb and they closed the border crossing and initiated emergency procedures. The dude was interrogated and held in detention.
Seems his work mates played a joke on him, put some ball bearings in a pipe and crimped the ends closed just to make random noises in his car that he'd never figure out. Well the joke is on SOMEBODY!
Canadian authorities were searching for something to charge the co-workers with, and couldn't come up with anything worthy of an international incident.
Fucking Canadians have NO SENSE OF HUMOR!!! LOL!!!

Your enlightening comment that our government is "fucking retarded" really bodes well for Canada's education system. I am very impressed with the effort you put into insulting an entire county, the epitome of being concise. Keep in mind that the Rhode Island National Guard could conquer all of Canada over a three-day weekend.

Nope. Would have been whisked away to some third world torture chamber for a rendition.
BTW, I work for a Canadian company and therefore have numerous first hand experiences with the humor of border patrol and customs agents, lol. IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. In general, I like the Canadian ones better.

No just the ones who voted for your current administration. Though odds are the other gov't would be acting in the exact same way. At least I will give %50 of you the benifit of the doubt and assume you are not complete idiots. Of course I know Canadians that woulda voted for the idiot in power down there as well and I think that they are idiots as well. So it seems stupidity is not neccesarily bounded by borders. Mostly though.
Oh and why would I bother posting my reasons for believeing that your government is retarded. Anybody who knows current Canadian/American events would understand why some Canadians might be put out.
