Céüse has seen a terrible deterioration of its environment last year. Garbages, bottles, cans, toilet paper, sanitary towels, tampons, are seen at the cliff... this early spring, mattresses and blankets have been removed (which means that people walk 1 hour with mattresses - are they crazy?). some people take showers and wash the plates in the cascades... which provide waters to the small villages... some people urinate and defecate 10 ft away from the routes... gear is stolen... Bivys at the cliff and on the parking lots are completely FORBIDDEN! Fires are strictly prohibited. Please, dear climbing friends, respect Céüse and respect all the other fragile environments. Thank you.

i was there last august (2004) for 3 weeks. it was gorgeous, and some of the best climbing ever. but the garbage and toilet paper was disgusting. you couldnt walk in some places because of human waste. but still, best trip of my life.
