I am still learning this photoshop thing, but after a brief lesson from a friend, it occured to me that Digital Camera shots almost always need the shop to some extent.

Enormous improvement! Turns a "blah" image into something pretty special. The best of yours I've seen, I think.

Thanks, I sat down with a friend who uses photoshop lots. All I did was make an adjustment to the black and the white with the eye drop tool.

Knowing how easy it is now, I feel silly for not learning it sooner. I hope to post more and plan on learning more baout photoshop in the process.

The change in color saturation is certainly for the better. You did a good job making the pic really rich.

My only concern is I feel like the cropping on the bottom might be a bit too close to his head, pulling the focus of the photo off balance a bit. I might be shooting in the dark here, it's hard to tell without like ten others to compare, but it's something you might want to consider.

Good shot.

EDITED -- Heh, didn't read the other post. Looks like I'm in the minority. All the stuff below his head is a bit distracting, but I still feel like he needs a little bit more room at the bottom... Maybe try photoshopping out some of the debris on the ground? (If you're not morally opposed to that sort of thing, that is...) Good luck.

I don't know how to edit stuff out of pictures yet, nor put it in for that matter.

Read the help files on the rubber stamp / cloning tool. History brush as well.

That's what I would have done there. Left the space below the head in tact and cloned out the clutter.
