What do you usually do if you clouldn't top a route? Do you keep on trying (redpointing) or do you just go for another route?

at the risk of becoming stale or un-motivated i keep trying. i will mix it up though and take rests or start another project at another crag. for me it is hard to leave something if i feel it is within my grasp or ability.

i keep trying. i eventully get it and its usully only one part that i have to get over. but if im at a gym and i have to leave. like my mom came and got me or something than i jsut stop and try again next time.

Keep on trying. The feeling when you succede on the route is a feeling that is special. It will give you confidence to try harder problems too.
