About 4 months ago, I bought Fiveten Zlipper on sale. I bought them because they were extremely cheap at $49, but it turned out to be one of my favorite shoes. It may just be my feet, but they are extremely comfy and edges pretty well for slipper. Past weekend, I have blown these shoes out completely. They are no longer usable. Also, Fiveten no longer makes these shoes anymore. Lately I have only worn slipper or Velcro shoes for quick and easy access. Anyone have suggestion on similar shoes? I am mostly boulderer and/or sport climber. I heard some great reviews on La Sportiva’s Venom. So I tried them on over the weekend, and they just hurt my feet like hell. I tried few Evolv shoes, but they really aren’t that great for smearing. Anyone have suggestion on replacement shoes for Zlipper?

if you really liked the zlipper try the anisazi slipper. they seem like basically the same shoe, minus the funky entry system. this does, of course come with that wonderfull fiveten craftsmanship :righton:

I have five ten's zlipper as well. I love it! Try what gunksgoer wrote, and try out the anasazi slipper or even their velcro. When I bought the Zlipper I chose them because of the price too. They are amazing for the price! The anasazi velcro or slipper are very expensive though. $$$

Tried both Anasazi Slipper and Velcro. Slipper was comfy enough, but sucked for edging. No way near Zlipper's performance. Anasazi Velcro just doesn't fit my feet, plus they don't stretch. So they always hurt my feet.

Try the T-Rocks. I think the two are similar in fit and performance. THe T-Rcks has the "dime edge platform" thing, too.

are you sure they dont' stretch? do you mean they didn't stretch when you tried them on? because they should stretch when you actually wear them around a little. what about the v10's?

I am a fairly new climber but I have tried a couple of shoes. I currently have a pair of fiveten Moccasym. They are great for smearing and are really sensitive. The edging is ok on the inside but a little sketchy on the outside. I had a pair of Mad rock flashes. I thought a good all round shoe. Edged well and smeared OK. My only complaint was that the velco wore out and kept coming undone. Hope this helps.

If I were you I would buy several different pairs of different shoes and when one pair wears out, use the other pairs... It's also a good idea to bring 2 or 3 pairs to the gym, just in case a super hard route can only be climbed with a specific shoe  Oh wait... (turn off sarcasm switch... hehehe)

If you tell me your size I may be able to find you a pair of Zlippers. Send me a PM.
