Hi, Maybe a silly question but I DID do a search and did not find the answer :? Do the size references on similar gear match between different brands? For example, if I have #s 4, 5 and 8 stoppers from brand X can I get #s 6 and 7 from brand Y and expect them to fill the size gap? I imagine not? Lisa

Probably not. What you can do is compare sizes and have different brands of nuts for different size ranges. Lets say you want black diamond stoppers up to about a sixe x, and metolius curved nuts above that. Youd need to eyeball it and figure out that a size x stopper is equall to a size y curved nut, and buy the curved nuts in the next few bigger sizes. Protection numbers and colors in general are all over the place, and no one has made much of an affort to standardize them. Wildcountry and DMM will share the same cam sizes and colors soon, but thats about all i can think of. -ws
