From what I've found looks like 3 climbers from Washington died with a fourth injured. Sounds like they were climbing Sharkfin Tower Peak near Marblemount Washington 90 miles northeast of Seattle. The report I saw didn't have much info talked about crossing a glacier before starting the climb but didn't say where or how the accident occured.

edited for spelling

a guy i work with heard about this on the news up here....he heard something about a gully and a rock-fall....he thought it was in squamish, though i'm sure sharkfin TOWER ain't in canada....theres a THE SHARKS FIN in the rockies,....then theres THE SHARKFIN apart of mount Garibaldi...then theres SHARKFIN PEAK apart of the MIDDLE FINGER (apart of the FIVE FINGERS)....(some beta taken from good ol' biv.com)

.................................................

just read most of the thread from cc.com

OK....these resources say Wash. state??...what though CNN said CA>>Canada..... :?

my wishes to their families....

IMO, death by rockfall is the best way to die compared to the many ways that the attrition of the mountains works...though that statement will probably not bring closure to their families.
