alright so here's another attempt at something different (for me at least). The sequence starts on the top left and goes to the top right then jumps back to the top left and goes to the bottom left and then the big picture is the last one. I hope that made sense. a visual:
1 2 3 4
5
6
78

anyway I see that I probably should have done the sequencing a little different (like don't make it jump around i did) anyone see anything else i could improve?

The pictures are cool, but the sequence throws all of it off.

i can't comment technically, but artistically its really ruins it.

I think you can use less pictures to form a better/more easily readable sequence, 4 in left column: 1 or 4 top row:1 etc...

what throws me off is that 2 seems out of order chronologically... just from looking at the your map of the sequence. i get stuck on the second picture because it seems to be out of order.

2 really comes after 1? it looks like 2 should be 1.

8flood8: just to show that it isn't out of order- 1 has his hand on a low hold and 2 is his hand just lifted off of that hold and then 3 is the hold he threw for. it just looks strange because instead of it being in between the low and high holds its just off of the lower one.

Melekzek: i think your idea of using less pictures is a good one and i may actually do that and repost but before i do i wanted to understand the rest of what your are saying. I didn't quite understand that last part of your post with the numbers.

Can't you just go clockwise if you want to keep the square formt,
instead of putting the vertical frames on the left? The 1st shot does
throw off a little, because the move's so fast, and the next shots are
almost identical when he's sticking the sloper.

Looks good. Another flow you could try for
longer sequences is:

AA B C
AA D E
F G JJ
H I JJ

With 1 big start pic and one big end pic
and 8 intermediate... Or check out your
favorite marvel comix or mangas to see
classical solutions for composing an action
page. You could also try incrustations if
you have unused/empty space in the photo.

The Second one is much better (i know you want all of them in for the narley factor)....

Sequences are ment to be beta (that or bragging rights) but if they are used as beta, its always nice to keep in mind the KISS principal....heres one i made a month back:

http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=56687
i still should do some editing to this one though..

I'll skip the sarcastic comments on the overloaded
text I was gonna put.

It seems you put the sequence as
13
23

Instead of:
12
34

Which is confusing for westerners that read from left to right.
In Japan OTHO...
