I’m currently in the thick of developing a new crag in my home town of Castlegar British Columbia. Besides a few friends, who are helping me, I’ve been putting up most of all the routes and as such I’ve have the privilege of naming them. Here’s where things get interesting. I’m sure a few of you will be pleased, or applaud, that I’ve decided to name routes on the wall after some of the more prolific members on RC.com, some members I know personally, others I just know through the site and enjoy the contributions they’ve made over the years. So far the route list looks like this. The crag is made up of 3 main walls. One wall I’ve decided to call the CBC wall, after the famous Canadian Radio Station, and the routes on this wall will be named after the radio stations programs. So far I’ve got Sad Goat 5.8 trad. Definitely Not the Opera 5.12? sport. (Project) The Other wall I’ve named the Maculated Wall. After the well written Maculated (undoubtedly the worlds most famous female 5.9 climber). And because the wall is maculated, which –and correct me if I’m wrong- is defined as a form of perfection, which this wall is. Found on the Maculated Wall you’ll find the following routes. Give it up for the J-ung Dancers. 5.11a mixed. Clausti is the Hottest. 5.10c sport. Named in recognition of my favourite RC.com thread where a debate raged on who was the hottest member on RC.com. To which, in my opinion, Clausti was and still is hottest. The are also two trad routes one 5.10b, the other 5.10a. Which, at this point remain nameless. There is also potential for many more sport routes, trad and mixed lines. So my requested to all of you out there in RC.com land. Give me so good names for routes. Keep in mind that they all have to have something to do with RC.com and its more colourful members. Edit. Apparently the definition of Maculated is "Something with spots or blemishes". Ehhhh.... Still works. The name stays.

Heh, me and a buddy talked about doing the same thing, but it never happened. BTW, 'caught inside' is already a route, named in a disgusting fit of narcissism. What about 'the doctur kudose virus' or 'ooze in the tarpit' or 'lox gets the chop.'
