2 of us planning to climb the Grand Sentinel trad route on Sunday, July 31/05. Due to grizzly in the area, the trail in has limited access. Must LEGALLY hike in groups of 6 or more on the access trail. Are there any others that want to do the Sentinel this weekend and hike in together? We could do it on the Monday too if that works better. Maybe even Saturday. Leaving Kamloops Friday after work. Call Ryan at 250-319-4223 day or night.

I did Cardiac Arete last week with my buddy - finding 6 people to hike in wasn't a problem... wait at the trailhead by the sign, within 5 minutes you should be able to find hikers/tourists to go in with. Only problem with this is most tourists get winded every 5 minutes... what should of been a sub 2 hour approach turned into 2.5 hours for us. Only problem we had was there wasn't a soul in sight at the pass when we finished so we risked it and ran in one our own. The Sentinel blew me away.... Amazing!

Nice! Thanks so much for the info. Will be our first time in there so are pretty stoked and didn't want to get stuck wasting a climbing day sitting in the parking lot. I imagine this weekend will be a busy one anyhow... Can't wait to stand on top of that sucker! Cheers.

Glad I could help... one note - the Sentinel is high up in the mountains... most people hiking around were in shorts.. by the time we got on the Sentinel the wind was making things quite cold... brrr bring a softshell!
