This is the girliest thing I have ever posted... I saw a climber a couple weeks ago with some AWESOME carabiner earings. She said I could find them online, but I'm having some trouble. The only place I could find them had a pair for over $60! I'm not into spending too much money on this kind of thing, but I really want a pair. Does anyone know a good place to pick up a pair? Or, if anyone lives in the Los Angeles area, a good store? I've also seen a cute pair of earings with a climber that latches onto your ear, but I can't seem to find those anywhere. Any help would be much obliged.

I actually have those earrings - and the matching Ice Axe necklace! My Hubby gave them to me for a Christmas gift a few years back. I love em!! :D There is nothing 'girly' about Carabiner Earrings and an Ice Axe necklace. . . . it's more Climbing Hottie, I'd say. When I wear them to work it's a conversation starter to say the least! Buy them!!!

I like the sound of that..."climbing hottie." I'm going to go with that instead of "girlie."

oh man, a bolted nose ring? Now that I like! The necklaces with the figure 8 chain and working carabiner are way too fun too...

The big question now is...do I buy it for myself or wait until Christmas and convince someone else to buy it for me?

My thoughts exactly! I'm itching to order them myself, but I could easily sneak the suggestion to someone for Christmas...

Well, I can't see if these you are all talking about are like mine that came in my stocking last Christmas. But I have the necklace with two eight knots and the locking caribiner(and earrings but they are permantly shut). I wear it all the time- not much of a conversation starter in these parts though. I think many people are at a loss of what to ask (because they have no idea what it is). But of all people! My mother one day over dinner said "Is that a carabiner?" She knew that word! Our one day we took her out to the rock to see that we are safe- she learned a word too. I was pretty impressed.

When I saw the this topic, I thought you were talking about wearing real 'biners in your ears. I have seen people who stretched their lobes and had carabiners in them.

Over the summer, I knew a girl that wore part of a cam on some 2-3mm acc. cord. That doesn't sound like a great thing to wear around your neck, but it was pretty neat. Give it a try with a booty cam...
