Nic, You might want to mention in your post what day it's on: Oct 22nd. Also, I haven't had time to draft up an email, but yeah, you've got Slackline Express on board for a gear prize for the slackline comp. I'll send you more info later this evening, Joe

aarong, Tell me, if I came back from CO, then what would be my incentive. In other words, what would make me want to come to such a polished, suburban, kid-infested area? The challenge, the reunion w/ OK climbers, what? I might think about it, but you've got to tell me more dude.

Are you kidding me? You should come back FOR the polished, kid-infested, suburban wonderland that is Chandler Park! Don't you miss that? Come on, you know you do. Seriously, it's going to be a full day of climbing outside on some classic and some obscure relatively unclimbed boulder problems. The competitive atmosphere should be just enough to stick that otherwise desperate throw but lighthearted enough to stand-around and project something for a while with new friends. Afterwards we'll have prizes and a raffle. The after-climb activities should be equally exciting: live dj, maybe some dancing, food, beer, salcklining. Just an all-around good time. Ultimately this is a benefit event for climbing at Chandler Park and the Chandler Park Climbers Coalition. We are in the process of working with the Tulsa County Parks to make imrpovements for the climbing areas at Chandler Park so your support would be greatly appreciated. And if none of those reasons suit you, come back for the Okie-hospitality - you will return to Colorado a better person for it.

Everyone within driving distance should plan on coming out for this event. If you don't have cash for gas then sell some plasma, pawn your office computer or get a coffee can and a guitar and get to work taking requests. You WANT to be at this event. It is a guaranteed good tome. Decades from now as you're piloting your flying car along the Oklahoma highway, you'll stop in Tulsa to fill it up with plutonium, hydrogen and bio-diesel and you'll have a great story to tell your grandchildren in the back seat about the time you came into this town years before and how much fun you had.

Not to rain on the parade or anything, but many Arkansas climbers will likely be attending the annual climber's rendezvous, now held at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. I'm not trying to heckle or anything, I'm just saying that Arkansas climbers might be poorly represented at the OK Boulderfest because of this...

I understand. I saw that the Horseshoe event was the same weekend. That's cool, we will still have a pretty good showing. Hope you have fun...but if it looks like rain over there - feel free to head our way.

We are missing a Cordless crashpad - navy blue/black with grey carpet. It has a duct tape tag on the handle which says "NHRG." If you happen to pick up a this pad please PM or email me. Thank you! http://okboulderfest.com
