does anyone know what the situation is with the access to volleyball court? it seems that whoever is doing construction there has erected a fence around the area. i hope that the fence is temporary but i suspect we are going to lose access to this area. has anyone talked to the owner of the property? are there any official channels we can use to secure access to these places?

It's a pity. A long time back, maybe 1.5 years ago I had a chance to speak to the land owner who was at that time constructing the house there. Probably a Datuk or some big shot - drives a fine green Peugeot. Said that he had to excavate the entire area due to irresponsible folks using it as a dumpsite. He had wanted to plant trees around the area and "beautify" the place. And he was very supportive of people climbing there! Things may have changed since then, or maybe not. I dunno. Whatever the case, it's certainly someone else's land, and their rights to fence it up if they deem it necessary. It'll be interesting if I could chance upon the land owner again. -mike tee-

I went to volleyball court last saturday and found that the "owner" has converted the area into an enclosure for his goats. We have lost access to 15 excellent mid grade routes.
