Hey, I just transfered to U of I in Moscow, I was wondering how far it is to Borah, and also if there is any ice climbing in the Northern part of the state, thanks.

it would be a fairly long haul for you to get down there, several hours. i'm not sure what there is for ice in northern idaho, although i'm sure there is some around. there is a ton just across the border in montana, or head up to canada....

I did the Notch Couloir about a month ago when it was all ice and I'm heading back up to the park this week and next week to take a look at some of the lines that may be in. I walked up to Sky Pond a week ago and took some pictures/checked conditions. Necrophilia was touching the ground, Deep Freeze was non-existent, Vanquished was a mess, the North Face of Taylor had ice in the middle sections, the Loch climbs hadn't started to form yet, and All Mixed Up was there but under a constant flow of spindrift.

I did the goulotte Albinoni-Gabarrou on the Mont Blanc du Tacul two weeks ago, it was in fabulous shape.
