Here are my shoes (Dolomites). They are starting to get beat up pretty bad (the leather has torn and the cloth part has ripped on the left shoe otherwise I would just resole them again), but I have had them for around 15 years and I really, really like them. They are my comfortable all day shoes. http://members.armourarchive.org/sasuke/shoe1.jpg

The high tops are a nice idea, but I can just tell they won't be a hit for Bouldering. High tops aren't effective since you often take off your shoes and move around, that is why velcro/slipper is so effective. Zippers seem to be a bad idea since they cant adjust to stay tight as a shoe stretches. I have an idea for a shoe that i think would work well for bouldering. I'll see if I can figure out how to send it. Mike

I think you need to come up with an innovative slipper design. The zippered one looks cool, but zippers have been problematic. More slippers. Maybe add a neoprene cuff like the old boreal matrix.

This reminds me of the time Homer designed a car for his brother's company.

for tight shoes I think a second tape loop on the side of the heel is useful for getting them on.

Dude, these are awesome. With a bit more agressive toe, they'd be sweet! Yeah, should call them The Liger. lol! Personally I'd love a pair of bright pink and black shoes. I don't know what style, I'm no good at drawing.. but a shoe that was black and a slightly darker pink would be awesome.

In reply to: for tight shoes I think a second tape loop on the side of the heel is useful for getting them on. yeah agree with that....one on the back and one on the inside Conrad....and i think Liger is a great name it means a cross between a lion and a tiger so would be appropriate for a show that can do more than one thing eg all day and short routes.

In reply to: pls adv this name means ..........thanks It's most likely a reference to this movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374900/ I used to think there was no such thing as a liger but apparently you really can cross breed lions and tigers the same way they cross a horse and a donkey to make a mule. Depending on whether or not the tiger is the mother or the father the resultant animal will either be a dwarf or about the size of a large horse. I wouldnt' want to meet a hungry one.

In reply to: In reply to: Two words: High tops It's about time that retro styling came to the climbing world. There's a whole generation out there who have never even seen boot-style climbing shoes, let alone worn them. Full protection for your ankle bones from rock abrasion! Pretty soon, we can have local bouldering areas full of old-school new-schoolers, decked out in headbands, tank tops, and maybe eventually spandex. Fashion in climbing just moves forward all the time, so I think we're due for a little homage to the folks that really pushed the limits 25-30 years ago. You could call these shoes the T2 or T3 or something. I propose Gladiator-style knee-highs. Don't know about you, but my shinbones are permanently bashed-up. Probably we would need a somewhat lighter construction for the calf side of the leg... http://www.dracinabox.com/malesmeg.jpg  ow fuck thats funny , haha
