I didn't take them, just came across them at the webpage link under the last pic. Quite a few encounters though, summers in the Adirondacks. Big ol' bears. They're everywhere. Never saw one do that, though.

No bears here, but I have had multiple squirrels successfully walk a full line on campus. I've also had the little bastards decide that they wanted to chew on my tree slings while I was on the damn thing. Man I wish I had a camera for that. I had a opossum try to jump off a limb onto it but didn't make it. Anyone else have wildlife mess with your lines?

Of course a bear is a totally different thing, kinda freaky if you think about the possibility of aerial assaults from bears, so much hanging bear bags using web up high between two trees.

It seems that I read an article in backpacker back in the early 90's that bears were known to have climbed 5.9's and to have jumped off ledges in order to snag food on lines. Anyone remember the article?
