In reply to: What is the weather in Yosemite in late march? There's plenty of good climbing then. Also rain & snow. Spring Break? From OSU? For the past couple of years I've Spring Breaked (broken?) up in your area, at Mt Bachelor. Not sure this year...

I was there 2 years ago in March, about the middle of the month. And the weather was gorgeous. Sunny, about low 70's. Most of the climbs were clear, although some had snow melt running off them. My advice would be plan the trip to Yosemite, but have a back up ready to go. Then as the time approaches check to see what the weather is supposed to be like. And if you search around you can find sites that have webcams pointing at El Cap and Half Dome. That should give you an idea of the snow pack. No idea what the URL is though.

Some years March is the biggest snow fall month. Last year it was not. You never know, ya know? (... but you never know, ya know?) Forecasts more than a week out are useless for your purposes. DO have the back up plan, and then just ask us about a week in advance. Here: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/winter.php Is an excellent summary page for norcal forecasts and shit. DMT
