Hey there,

I went to Horse Flats in late december and they had the road blocked off about a mile from the campground entrance to Horse Flats. The weather was really nice though and no people. Im sure the weather would be nice since there hasnt been much rain/snow, just chilly and maybe some wind. So be prepared for that. Just to let you know it took about 40-45 minutes to hike into the main area. The gate is still closed and will be until April 1st. Also make sure you check and see if hwy 2 is closed at any point before Horse Flats. Ive been turned around before because of this. Hope this helps.

-Tom
