whew...i went to do this route twice a few seasons ago. the first time we wandered around for 3 hours trying to find the start. the second time we got on the route, but found it to be, shall we say, a bit more chossy than RR is famous for. it was actually one of the first near-epics i've had.

i'd suggest scouting the approach and getting a crazy-early start if you've not done the route. it's at least as much of an endeavour as Dark Star in the Sierras, but the approach is way more serious. unlike Dark Star, however, you can't solo most of it (we did about 20 of DS's 30+ pitches unroped).

bah, there's only two pitches on it with any loose rock, and only one of 'em is spooky....

the rest of it is fine rock on a great route...don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

(tried to pm you but it keeps saying it failed)

*raises hand*

If your still looking for a partner, I'm in. Going to try to be in Red Rocks for 2 or 3 weeks and would be down to tie in with you again. Get ahold of me if your still looking for a partner.
