I am looking for a marketing or sales position out west or down in the south east. Something that is close to climbing. I'm from Michigan and want to start a new career that I can enjoy by an area that I can climb. I would love to work for the outdoor industry but it seems very hard to get into it. If anyone has any leads, I would be interested in hearing about them. Thanks.

well, by your listing of job preferences, it seems like you'd like to make a bit more money than this opportunity, but if you have a bachelor's degree and more patience than God, we should chat.

i work as a program counselor for a theraputic wilderness boarding school in western nc. we have an academic school on our 100 acre campus which the students attend four days a week. Most weekends, we're out canoeing, climbing, bouldering and hiking.

i work a 3 on/4 off--4 on/3 off schedule, which gives me lots of time to bike and climb. I'm within an hour or two of linville gorge, rumbling bald, looking glass etc...

email me at jamatt@gmail.com for more info.

otherwise best of luck.

j.
