So is a tiltable wall just stupid now-a-days, are there many things that go wrong with them? I read this book from the 80's that suggested it and it seems like an easy fix for varying overhang angles.

I made one that had 4 hinges on top securing it under my parents deck. It worked ok but I was much lighter (10 years ago) and not would opt for one that leans forward suspended from chains or something. A few people here have pics of their walls suspended from chains and they look good.

I made one that works very well, though varying the angles is a two person job. I have some pictures in my profile if your interested in how it was put together. Also if you're interested I can give you directions to build it.

Another Go for it from me. I have a home wall that is adjustable and all overhung. It hinges in the middle as well. I am quite glad that I did it as the adjustable makes for easy boredom prevention.
A couple bucks gets a boat trailer winch and a little low stretch rope and it is a simple one man transition.

How about a wall hinged two feet up the wall and then hanging from chains attached to that wall further up?
and what about like the eye bolts in such a project the heaviest duty ones i can find at common hardware stores say their work load is only 350lbs is that enough or should i try to find better?
