There's lots of us on here. I'm from the south metro area, but live in Fargo, ND at school most of the year. I still call the Cities home though. If you haven't yet, check out minnesotaclimbing.com

Before all those damn city kids get in on this, the best climbing in MN is on the North Shore. Pallisade Head is as good as the midwest gets. If you're in the cities I guess you could go to the climbing themepark at Taylors falls. The only thing the cities has that I'm jealous of is that sweet VE, ours is a bit underfunded compared to the one there. And they have that sweet 60, ohhh the power....

It's a bit of a drive from the cities, but Blue Mounds State Park (in Luverne, MN) is always beautiful in the spring and fall....tends to be humid and bug-filled in the hotter parts of the summer. Barn Bluff in Red Wing is the only sport area i can think of. For a pretty comprehensive outline, get the book "Climbing Minnesota and Wisconsin." Its a FalconGuide book. REI usually has it in stock.

I too would recommend checking out http://www.minnesotaclimbing.com There are some decent climbing areas around , but I am partial to the North Shore. Within an hour or so of Duluth you have Ely's Peak, Carlton Peak, Sawmill Dome, Pallisade Head, Shovel Point, Section 13, and a few more less known areas. Have fun climbing.
